Build a custom emoji by choosing a face, swapping its eyes and mouth, and adding accessories. Start with one of 32 editable presets or combine 40 separate parts, including cat, bear and bunny faces, heart eyes, flowers and rainbows. Each part stays on its own layer so you can move, resize or rotate it.
How to make your own emoji
- Choose a preset or pick a face from the Parts panel.
- Add eyes, a mouth and accessories. Choosing another face, eye or mouth replaces that part.
- Select a layer to adjust its position, size, rotation or stacking order. Add a text caption if you like.
- Keep the background transparent, choose 128, 256 or 512 pixels, then download your PNG.
Undo and redo let you try different expressions without starting over. The checkerboard shows transparency and stays out of the downloaded image.
Emoji maker or emoji mixer?
Use this maker when you want to change individual features. To combine two existing emojis, open the Emoji Mixer. To find a ready-made image, browse the Emoji Gallery. A gallery image opens as one complete layer; its original eyes and mouth cannot be separated.

Is the emoji maker free to use?
Yes. You can customize an emoji and download its PNG without creating an account.
How do I make an emoji with a transparent background?
Leave Background set to Transparent before downloading. The PNG keeps transparent areas around your design; choose a solid background only if you want a filled image.
Can I make a cat emoji or a rainbow emoji?
Yes. Choose a cat face and add separate eyes and a mouth, or load a rainbow kitten preset. You can move the rainbow, replace the face and change the expression independently.
Will my design become a keyboard emoji?
The result is an image, not a new Unicode character or an installed keyboard emoji. You can use the PNG where a service accepts images or custom emoji uploads, subject to that service's requirements.
Where is my emoji edited?
The editor assembles your design and exports the PNG in your browser. Save a download before leaving; the current design is not automatically saved as a draft.
